These terms cover use of this website and, where we agree to work together, the marketing services Ascend Group provides to UK businesses. A signed proposal or statement of work prevails if it conflicts with the service terms below. Last updated 6 October 2026.

Using the website
You may read these pages and share links. You may not copy the design, text or code for another site, or scrape the pages in bulk. The site is provided as it stands. Articles, case notes and cost ranges are general information. They are not a quote, a forecast, financial advice, or a promise that another business will see the same result.
Enquiries
If you send a form, you confirm the details are accurate, including a phone number we can use to reply. A strategy call is a conversation, not an agreement to start work. Newsletter mail is sent only when the consent box is ticked, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
How a client agreement starts
Work starts when you accept a written proposal by email or by paying the first invoice. The proposal sets the channels, the fee, and what is included. Unless the proposal says otherwise, the agreement is a rolling 3 months' contract agreement, with that period as the minimum term. After the minimum term, either of us can end the agreement by giving one month's written notice. We would rather earn the next month than hold a client who wants to leave once the minimum term is complete.
Fees and your responsibilities
Fees are in pounds sterling and, where VAT applies, are exclusive of VAT. Invoices are payable within 14 days unless the proposal says otherwise. Media spend with Google, Meta and other platforms is billed by those platforms, or recharged, and is not part of our fee unless the proposal says it is. You will give us timely access to accounts, brand material and a person who can approve work. Delay on your side can move delivery dates.
What we do not guarantee
Search rankings, ad platforms and buyer behaviour change. We will carry out the work with reasonable care and skill, which is the standard implied by the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 for business clients. We do not guarantee a particular ranking, a particular return, or a particular number of leads.
Intellectual property
We keep ownership of our methods, templates and tools. On receipt of cleared payment, you receive a licence to use the deliverables named in the proposal for your own business. Third-party assets, including stock images and fonts, stay on their own licences. You warrant that material you give us does not infringe someone else's rights.
Confidentiality and data
Each of us will keep the other's non-public commercial information confidential, except where the law requires disclosure. Personal information is handled as described in the privacy policy. Where we process personal information on your behalf, for example inside an ad account, we do so as your processor and only on your instructions.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that the law of England and Wales does not allow us to limit. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of revenue, or loss of anticipated savings, whether direct or indirect, and our total liability arising out of a client agreement is capped at the fees you paid us under that agreement in the three months before the claim. The Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 applies to these limits. The site itself is general information, and we are not liable for decisions you take from it alone.
Ending the agreement
Either of us may end the agreement immediately in writing if the other commits a material breach and does not fix it within 14 days of notice, or becomes insolvent. Fees for work done up to the end date remain payable. If you end during the minimum term other than for our material breach, fees for the rest of that minimum term remain payable.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also have rights that these terms cannot take away. Our services are offered to businesses.
